limits of stock ign system.

at what compression does the stock ign system become inadequate ?
does using race gas change the equation at all?

the stock ignition is working fine on my motor......
2.1 about 13:1 compression......

I've never seen compression be the issue when worrying about the stock ignition system. Usually it's stupid high engine speed that brings out it's shortcomings. Even so, the stock system is surprisingly good.

One great thing about these engines, stock ignition= plenty sufficient even with big power. Now with a crazy turbo or big shot of nitrous ignition starts to need modding.
