Default how much to pay? 1994 teg 4dr, 5speed, blown engine

timing belt snapped, engine is done, car is supposed to be in nice shape. 130k miles, 40k on the clutch, not sure if its an RS or LS, i dont even know the difference

what does a used non-vtech engine go for? not looking to soup this up, just looking for a cheap, reliable car

i put b16 in my civic so im sure i could swap a used engine into this

so...

1. How much to offer for the car?
2. What should i pay for a used non-vtech teg engine?

assume its clean tittle i would pay no more then 2500 for the shell, B18A's & B's are around 800-1500 depending on conditon..

Assuming the body is good and the interior is great along with a clean title, I'd pay no more than $2000.

Being that you need just a longblock, it's still possible to find B18B1 longblocks sub-$500, but they're getting rare. Personally I'd call up HMO and get a B20B, I think they still go for around $700.
