Crank pulley? Have fun, those things are beasts; some come off, some don't. Do a search for crank pulley and you will see some the antics people go through to get them off.

It is a standard thread CCW to loosen. Find someone with a "good" 1/2 drive impact wrench. I have had to use a propane torch to heat up the bolt/pully center to get it to break loose.

jack up the car, put it in gear, have someone hold the brakes, use a breaker bar and another bar with it to make the ultimate breaker bar about 6 ft long then just break it loose. It's only bin on there for a couple of years at 130lbs ft of tq. should loosen right up don't forget wd40

ok, i've tried 1/2 impact 3/8 impact and the huge breaker bar meathod. holding the breaks down, i'm using crc rust spray. nothing is working.
do i have to 'jam' the flywheel at the same time to get it locked up?

i need to get a new 17mm six sided socket- 1/2 drive. and some new 1/2 extentions also, cuz i snapped one. along with a 3/8/-1/2 inch socket converter.

- i havn't tried heating it at all, but i would rather not have to do that to something that's on the crank...

you have to have the flywheel not move a mechanic once told me to put a breaker bar on the bolt while the car was on the ground then try to start the car (dont start it of course) but the torque from the starter will brek it loose i havet tried it but it makes sense

Penetrating oil and a 5 ft breaker bar works for me everytime.

DO NOT put a breaker bar on that bolt and try to start it. The Honda rotation will only tighten it or brake it.

i couldn't get the crank pulley off either until i talked to a local shop about it. i ended up getting to borrow a moroso crank pulley remover from them if i put $100 money down until i bring it back. Works like a charm

you can pull off your oil pan, and put something against one of the rods and against the iside of the blosk to keep it from rotating

Just go get a 1200lb impact. Take some 4in long bolts(4 of them) slide the bolts throw the holes on the pulley. Turn pulley untill bolts jam it up. Then put the impact on it and break its face off.
Or just jam it up and the kick the **** out of the breaker bar.

you'll need a chain wrench to counter the pulley from moving but a impact wrench would make your job 60 % easier... but yea a breaker bar would be a substitute....

Impact wrench all the way. I know saying that doesn't make it appear in your garage but see what you can do to borrow one from somebody or buy one. It comes in super handy.
