2 questions
when i bought my crx, there was an all new tsw racing short shifter. i want to get a skunk2racing but i dont wanna waste money. then my friend needed a car to go to a job interview and he thought that a nice car will get him the job.... he didnt get the job.....anyway, when he returned, the top half of the short shifter was in his hand. i took a look and it seemed that he "broke" it when he shifted too hard.also, there is an air leak in my tire and i dont know how to stop it
Q1:is there any way i can fix my shifter? i cant get a picture up but it is all cracked like this:shifter side> /^^^^^^^/ <shifter side or should i just get a new shifter? AKA a skunk2racing shifter
Q2:how can i stop this air leak without changing the wheel and tire

Ill give you an answer to the second question since I don't have any answer to your first, but I am going to say, since the shifter is cracked, might as well get the one you want. The crack just gave you a better reason.
For the losing tire pressure. First: check the black thing where you put air into/out of the tire (i forgot what its called), and the way you check it, move it around and listen for air coming out, if nothing leaks there, then... Second: remove the tire from the car and completely submerge it under water (or you can do one part at a time), you should see air bubbles coming out, pin point where it is coming out. If the air is coming out of the side wall of the tire, YOU NEED A NEW TIRE (sorry). If it isn't coming out of the side wall, you can buy one of those patch up kits and patch it yourself, or go to any shop and have them put a patch in from the inside and tell them to re-balance the wheel once they are done.

my DC sport short throw did the same thing, except I was on my driveway, wiggled it in neutral, then when i went clunk into reverse, snapped right off in my hand with no pressure at all, so dont' blame your friend
.. they snap at the threads because the *** wasnt on right or something.. as for a fix, i picked up a universal ***, the kind with the 3 allen screws to tighen it(which i hate) but learned to bare with it... now i have a super short throw

A1: Get a new shifter. And not one of those JDM-style $1.99 specials on ebay with the $20 shipping! It has been suggested to get a B&M or a Skunk2 or the like. That is unless you've got a girl you want to impress with your strength by "accidentally" breaking your hard-as-hell ebay special!
A2: Jack the wheel that's leaking up. Use a soap/water solution and spray your tire with it. Listen/look for hissing/bubbles. Once you find the leak, circle it with a grease pencil or mark it somehow and then you can either use one of those tire patch things they sell at the auto store or you can use those Sealant-In-A-Can things. Or just get the tire professionally patched up. Shouldn't cost you more than $10-15.
