a family friend has a cbr f3 for sale... for 500 bucks. the bike has been laid down and the plastics on one side are trashed. bike will start but as soon as it starts it stalls out. is this worth my time and effort to fix?

 

how much work are you capable of doing on a bike? If you cant work on the bike yourself and have to take it in its probably not worth it.

 

if you are in need of a constant headache, buy it

 

its worth it even in parts. i'd get it.

Unless you're completely mechanically useless get it. Project bikes are great or you could just strip it.

 

Pick it up, rebuild the carbs, get new plastics. You could have a good running f3 for a G

 

i'm still on the fence about this.. i have alot of mechanical experience (cars) but NONE at all with bikes.. hmmm......

you will be fine. bikes are 10x easier. (or it would seem to me)

buy it sell the plastics that are worth something on ebay then streetfighter it, or sell it to a stunter.

 

sell all the plastics and then sell it to me for 300 bucks

 

if you dont get it let me know where it's at so i can go pick it up......seriously

 

i wish i was close i would buy....did an engine swap on our 1989 suzuki katana took like 2 afternoons.
