I was wondering how did you take off the wing..what did you do about he double stick tape? I have been pondering the idea of taking off my wing, just to see how it looks, but there was that sticky tape. If I take it off will it be easy to put it back on.

 

Use floss. Move it in a zig zag direction, like a saw. Be sure to pull it up and away from the trunk lid so you don't scratch it.

 

i'm wondering the same thing about being able to stick it back on after you take it off the tape. well all you have to do is unscrew it from the bottom and i guess take dental floss or something and run it between the wing and the hatch. i'm not sure though.

 

I just removed my wing today< i got some plugs from Mike K for the Holes, i likt the way it look, but my dad does'nt

 

The removal destroys the tape, you need new suf to re-install. You can't cut the tape between the bolts with the dental floss trick, so it takes a little muscle to pull the wing off after the tape is cut. I painted the plugs with touch up paint, looks ok I guess.

 

dang, i wanted to take off my wing for a day and see how i like it...oh well..

 

instead of retaping the shizznit everytime i take off the wing, i got some rubber gasket type crap, and cut out the right shape, makes a good seal, not messy, and is reusable. hell its not like its a major vital seal right there anyways
