Default My "new" front end.

This is only the 2nd topic ive made on h-t but it seems a lot of people have jdm front ends. Mine is quite old but I just wanted to show these pictures off before they get TOO old to show as "new". (i copy and pasted from a diff forum so this text is from the day it was put in)

"Its 3am and i just got home. This is short and sweet, ill explain later. Im so tired

The process begins!

Coming to an end:

Finishing Touches:

Better pics of the front

Record for installation/wiring/everything hooked up= 3 hours

Story is that I drove 4 hours to pay for the front end. So to make things quicker we installed the front end at the place I was at. We got lost on the way there so we got to the place fairly late. Took us 3 ours (3am) to finish, and since we had a front bumper, and hood to take home....we stuffed it in my car. lol Yes a crx hood does fit inside a crx and no one seems to belive me. Yet it pokes over the driver and passanger seat about 4-5 inches. So a 4 hour drive home me and my friend switched driving because no matter what seat you were in your back would be on the seat and head would be towards the dash. Hard work and effor has gone into the crx but its getting painted, vtec, and supercharged in less than 2 months. (vtec goes in today)

All comments are appreciated

Nice...how much you get it for and from where? There was a guy in Killeen selling it a while back under the sn flaco1978...looks similar because I remember those yellow Skunk2 stickers. Good job anyway.

Yup thats him. Yup Killeen Texas is 4 hours away from me lol. He was a real nice guy. With me and his friends I think we had a total of 4-5 people working on it in one night. Not all at the same time. The most that worked on it at one time was i think 2-3.

Very nice! You can actually fit a whole Wings West (6 piece) body kit and a 6'0 passenger in a CRX at the same time. And make them ride like that for 4 hours from Denver to Grand Junction Colorado. haha!

Are sidemarkers supposed to be on constantly? I believe theyre only supposed to blink when your turn signal is on.

They are only on constantly when the lights are on. They also alternate with the bumper lights when the turn signal is on. They alternate weather or not the lights are on.

It truly is amazing what can fit inside a crx!

There not supposed to, there supposed to be off even when the lights are on and signal the same time the bumper lights do. You need to splice into the bumper light wiring not the extra bulb you have once jdm corner lights or installed.

There are no written rules how lights are supposed to turn on

I moved the bumper up a bolt. Some people drill to make the holes bigger but moving it was the only way I could get it flush for me.

edit- BTW my BUMPER LIGHTS only turn on when activated by turn signal. My FENDER LIGHTS are the ones that stay on when lights are on. I just realized i took a picture with my hazard lights on.
