Default Integra Wheelspin Poll

Um for some reasone if I am tryin to peel out or get alittle wheelspin from my gsr... It shakes violently and the front wheels hop... Especially when I am in a little slick of water and wanna do a little wheelspin as i take off... It just causes my whole dash to shake violently... is this normal?

it is called wheel hop

better tires and suspension can solve that, even better motor mounts if yours are worn.

Yes u r GAY its the final answer!!!

Yea, it has to do with your suspension set up. IF the car is lowered on some cheap springs/coilovers it will make the car have a harsh front wheel hop. Get some better mounts , shocks and springs. Those should reduce the hop to aless wheel hop but there will alway be some wheel hop, just not as much.

i have a regular bare bone 94 RS and it does the same. Also, when i engage the clutch at a very low rpm, but not like ridiculously low so that its dying, i get pretty bad shakes too. I was told i could either have bad compression or bad drive axles...
Don't wanna hijack the thread but anyone have any ideas?

My '01 GSR is bone stock and it wheel hops. Also, I can feel the motor shift in the mounts. My struts/coilovers are on the way here and I'll get those polyurethane motor mount inserts asap.

lightweight honda's hop in general i beleive if launched wrong/too hard/wet roads etc. z10 traction bars or motor mount inserts will help elliminate the problem. not sure if they make z10 for regular teg, but probably since they make them for the R. i get mad wheelhop too, especially when the roads are wet. stop hopping your car in the rain/from every dead stop b4 you break something.

it shouldn't be violent shaking, my car is 15 years old with stock mounts and bushings, when I peel out you get a little shaking, but not much, and it's definately not violent

I would reccomend L-Con which runs $300 on http://www.robearracing.com and http://www.camp1320.com or the Full Race that is found on http://www.full-race.com for $350

Edit** here's direct links

L-Con Traction Bar http://www.robearracing.com/pd_lcon.cfm

Full Race Traction Bar http://www.full-race.com/catal...id=78

Traction bars and some sort of suspension will solve much of the issues as has been said ...

Now the tires will just spin instead of beating themselves into the ground
