Well.... Some punks busted through my passenger side window(on my 99 hatch), stole my audiobahn amp and 12" pioneer subs, and went home happy.... Knowing that they stole from a 16 year old kid who works at kroger to hook up his car. It sucks, I know.... I was just hoping you guys here at HT could help me keep a look out on the classified thread to make sure none of this is resold. STOLEN: Audiobahn A4002T amp(800 watts), Pioneer 12" subs(600 watts each).

The fucked up part is that someone has been goin around stealing audio equipment from kroger employees. Just the other week my buddies **** got stolen out the parking lot and now mine. I have a feeling its someone I know... And if that someone is reading this... You better pray I don't find out.... Cus I'll kill you...

 

That does suck. Now you should invest into an alarm. Get two sirens. One under the hood and the other one inside your fender, in the trunk, under the dash, or behind the rear bumper. I got my car broken in twice. The first time they stole my Sony deck without the faceplate. I had the faceplate in the house. The second time they broke in and stole my $1000 tools that were in my trunk. Then I said **** this and got a fat alarm. Someone try to break in it again, but ran because the alarm went off and I was coming out with my bat yelling "I'll kill you ************!" After that, my car hasn't been touched. So invest in an ALARM! BEST MONEY SPENT!

 

Im not really too familiar with alarm systems and all that... Any ideas of how much they cost?

depends. some are as cheap as $200 to 1,000+

Hmmm... Thats a dumb idea. They can still get into ur car. Have you notice that ur window is big enough to crawl into. And you can brake into the trunk, since its a hatchback. Hatchbacks are more easier to break into than Coupes and Sedans. You are better off getting an alarm system with a shock sensor.

 

Now that I think about it... Your kinda right, I was only gonna deadbolt it to protect whats inside my car.... But now, theres nothing left to protect.

Yea, I'm definately putting security as one of my top priorities now.

 

when they come for your car it may be with a tow truck with a flat bed...make sure to have security that detects the slightest imbalance/unlevelness of your car....my friends car just got jacked right out of the highschool parking lot while he was in class...and the principal was outside watching his car get towed and didnt do shiat.....pfff....theives are grimy these days and not very sneaky...

i got my python alarm with a 2 way pager for 350 installed and thats one of the main reasons im rocking the stock speakers

 

See, if you had a shock sensor and they broke ur window, the alarm would of went off. If you had one of those pager alarms, you would find out right away that someone is breaking into ur car so that you can beat the **** out of them.

 

hey man, sorry to hear about your car. any leads on who it might have been. i got my s10 broken into a while back they got away with about 1200 worth of audio. broke into it right under my carport which is about 100 ft into my yard. well good luck with everything.

 

Yea, we might have an idea of whos going around doing this if the tape was actually recording the lot. I heard from an employee that it doesnt record OUTSIDE, just the inside... Well I'll see when I head up there later. It was only bout 400 dollars worth of audio equipment but I'm more pissed off because they broke my window.

 

ya that does suck when they break ur window. My friend replaced all his windows on his 240sx and someone came by and broke them all again. WHY?!

 

Directed Electronics makes the best alarm systems on the market. go with one of those. Also invest in a starter kill, and a few other kill switches. Bolt all your audio stuff down the best you can , and hide it as much as you can. A siren in the car is a good idea too. Also, those "pager alarms" dont work for **** unless your in line of sight to your car. Even then its iffy, if you REALLY want protection, so with a GPS tracking system. Its expensive, but im sure everything you invested in the car is too. It will call your cell phone, beep you, and email you when your car has left its location, or your alarm goes off. Definatly worth the money. You can actually remotely kill your car via the telephone.

Exactly what I was thinking.... I couldnt check the tape yesterday because there were no managers that knew how to work it there... So I get to go back today after I get my car back from the shop. I'll keep you guys updated. I was at best buy looking into a few alarm systems man and the good **** cost at least 500..... DAMN!

 

****, i got my car broken into and i had an alarm system too. They cut the wires

to my alarm, messed up the wires under my dash, jacked my rims, tach, ECU,

and even took my Intake.. can you belive it, my intake!! Now, im just like **** it..

rollin in doughnuts, and listening to my stock speakers. All in all, if they want

your ****, they got ways to get it even if you have an alarm. I say, hook your

cars door handels to a 12000 volt battery and then they try to open it, it'll shock

the **** outta them... good luck

 

Sorry about your **** gettin' stolen.
Last year at my school in our senior parking lot everyone's cars who had anything done to them were gettin stolen and taken to chop shops in Coatesville, Downingtown and other local places. And they don't have any type of cameras out there watching our cars either. I'd be pretty pissed if someone stole my car. Last I heard of it, they had caught one person and busted a chop shop.
One of the cars that shop stolen had a shock sensor on it and not even that helped.
But good luck on finding out who did it. Catch their asses in action.
