Default ICM(ignitor) removal

I'm trying to replace my ICM but i can't seem to pull it out. The haynes book that i have says to just pull straight out. I tried using pliers and clamps. Anyone else have this problem or know of some way to jog it free?

i'm impressed. you don't want my ignitor? heck, you can have the whole dizzy. lowball me, only the coil is bad, and there's a tiny couple drops of oil in there, probably the body is not much good. the rest is fine, just inspected. lowball it already!
