B16 (lsd tranny) into CRX - PROBLEM WITH LOW REV LIMIT
Hello,
I recently put a JDM B16 into a CRX, and it's flashing code 8, but I've tried switching out the dizzy, changing the ECU to a PR3 from thw PWO that came with the motor, and it's still hitting a fuel cut at 7500 RPM.
Any help as to why it is doing so would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
- Derek

Code 8 is the TDC sensor inside your dist. This is more than likely the cause of your low rev limit.
Try changing spark plug wires, I dunno why but people say it might help.
You might have an open wire ('short'). So switch the wires for known good wires and if the problem STILL persists after buying a new distributor, plug wires, and switching the wires, try to solder in new connections at the ecu and MAKE SURE that the wires are connecting at the distributor.
Here are nice sites.

EDIT: those sites are for obd-0 cars with mpfi
