Agreed it's not as easy of a swap as anything/everything else. There are factors in each swap that differ from the next. Changing ext: to int: coils is/could be one. Changing obd1 to obd2 and vise versa could be another.
just my 2 cents

Swaping the H22 into my EK hatch was no harder than putting the B16 in my car. The only extra work is cutting for the shifter cables, and that is really easy. So its no harder than a GSR swap.
Well, you have to change all the mounts, you should get a new wiring harness, have to get a bigger radiator, different radiator hoses, a engine mount in the front, cutting a hole in ur floor, and etc. The wiring was the hardest part of the swap. There are shops that will do custom wiring harness for not that much.

the talkers talk the swappers swap.
the talkers talk the swappers swap.
It seems like 99% of the people on H-T hate on the h22 swap and will try to talk you out of doing it but if they see one done and looking clean those same people think it's the ish...
I say go for it if your even contemplating it!

well, you were half right.
i, being one of many who make up the 99% of honda tech, like to hate on newb's who talk about doing the h22 swap and i will try to talk most out of doing it, and i do "think its the ish" when i "see one done and looking clean."
you just forgot to mention that its in my mutherfucking garage where i "see one done up and looking clean."

swap it, you'll love it. you have to change mounts with almost any swap. modify your wiring harness for it (took me about 20 mins). My stock radiator works fine. New radiator hose = $2. Engine mount in the front, wtf? Never seen that in a h22 swap. Cutting the hole for the shifter is the hardest part. I had a drill and a hack saw blade, that's it. Took about 10 mins. Got to cut and redrill the tranny mount too. Not nearly as hard as people make it out to be.

WELL SAID.
I'm running a stock Del Sol rad with my H22A and have a much tighter engine bay than an EK and have NO COOLING PROBLEMS at all.. i drove 1.5 hours to the beach many times last summer on hot/humid days and the needle stays solid - exactly where it was with the D16.
lol.. if swaping mounts/installing a mount kit and wiring a few wires scares you than stay the hell away from an engine bay.
