posting for a friend..
Has anyone ever experienced this? i think it's comming from the alternator.. but i'm not sure.. when there is a load on the alternator (rear defrost) the sound comes back.
this is on a freshly swapped motor that probably sat for a while.. so i'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if it has gone away with time? it doesn't sould like a bearing..

trust me, it's not the belts.. it sounds 'electric'.. hard to describe.. hehe.. guess the only way to find out is to swap the alternator..

Do you have sufficent grounds from you're engine to the automobile chassis? do you have an aftermarket audio system in youre car? id clean up the grounds, make sure good metal to metal contact, if that dosnt solve it, try a ground loop isolator. heres a sit that may help you as well.
