Band Saw Blade
Hey guys,
I was wondering what brand of band saw blades you use and where you buy them. I have a Harbor Freight vertical/horizontal band saw and so far, I've gone through 3 of their blades. What happens is after I make a cut on thicker materials (sch 10 SS for example), a bunch of teeth on the blade just disappear. The saw itself is really nice and I'm happy with it, but the changing blades so frequently is getting tiring. I apologize for the bad pictures, but that's what it looks like. There are sections as long as 5-6" long that have no teeth left on them.

Thanks in advance

I've been using that saw and cutting sch 40 and really have not had that problem even with the 10 TPI blade. I did break one blade but other than that they have not had any problems.
Thanks for the replies, however, I didn't ask you to tell me how to operate the saw, or whether you like yours or not. I'm more interested in knowing what brand of blades you have used and your feedback on them.
Thanks
Thanks

Wow buddy, i have used the shitty blades from HF and i used expensive blades from Lenox. They both work fine, like i said before but i forgot you dont need instructions when using a **** blade like for example the blades they sell at HF and the blade it comes with you need to cut at the slowest speed.
Thanks

Thanks for another useless reply. The saw has always been on the slowest speed (smallest motor pulley, largest saw pulley). So it's not the operator error that chews up the blades. I know how to operate a power tool. All I'm interested to know is what brand blades you guys have used and your feedbacks on them.

I use these with the HF bandsaw and cut SS for collectors and mild steel all the time:

And I have not had a problem with them. I usally get about 1 month from each blade with cutting about 4 hours everyday.
The problem with the HF blades and using them on the SS is they are not Bi Metal, so when you use them on SS the SS rips the teeth off.
