Default Swap 88 fuse box into 91???

I got a 91 civic, recently converted to a manual. My ecu is throwing a code 20 because iam using an 88ecu. i have an 88 fuse box to put in but i have a little problem. The 88 ecu has an extra plug/harness for the eld. 90-91 civics dont use the eld. So in order to install an 88 fuse box with a functional eld id have to find the plug for the eld (if 90-91 civics even have them) or run wires to hook it up (which i dont really want to do). if anyone has done this b4 or has any ideas id appreciate it Id show a pic of what i mean if i knew how to insert a pic lol

They are different. in 88 they used an eld in the fuse box, in 90-91 they didnt use the eld.

I would look for a 90-91 ecu. They can be found pretty easily and aren't expensive. I picked up a 90 pm6 ecu a few months ago for 50 bucks shipped.

HUH!? all USDM civics had ELDs, right? i have a 91 and it has a ELD. just dummy up a rester ladder so the ecu gets a voltage and dosent thow a code.

Correct they all have the ELD, just in different locations.
