Default Catalytic Converter Help

My cat is rustted and needs to be replace. I've searched around, and apparently they offer 14" and 13" overall length cats. I have a 1991 honda accord 4dr LX. which cat would my car use??? and if anyone knows where i can get one for an inexpensive price please let me know. and i need a cat that will pass emissions. thanks!!!

Mine is 13". Measure yours to make sure though. I'm having the same problem (rattling and no power whatsoever). I've seen a few direct fit cats on ebay for like 50 bucks. Otherwise, they're around $90 at AutoZone.

The ones they sell at some service station / muffler shop will be usually generic, higher price and lower quality. Unless a honda dealer which will high quality but priced OEM retail.

If you're looking for a bit of performance, try Carsound convertors. Since the accord is such a common car, there should be a direct fit convertor (just bolt on..not weld on) out there off the shelf.

The idea about ebay is good too....check ebay. Might find a deal.

Google: "replacement catalytic convertors" and I'm sure you'll hit plenty of websites that want to sell you something. Shop around.

so far the best prices i've found are from summitracing.com and jcwhitney.com for around $100-110 shipped. but they offer the 13" and 14". i dont have the equipment and room to jackup my car to actually measure my cat. but does anyone else know if a 1991 accord lx 4dr has a 13" OR 14" CAT??? THANKS!!!!
