Does removing the rear seats mean you need a roll cage or is just recommended?
I was thinking about removing the rear seats of my accord. Because they are no longer there anymore do I need a roll cage? A simple yes or no question will do....
Hmmm... roll cage. do you plan on rolling your car, otherwise i wouldn't consider it a nescessity. i dont suppose that removing the rear seats removes any structural stability of the car in a collision. maybe if someone rear ended you doing 90 or something to that effect.
If you are concerned with losing stability, just add in a rear strut bar, should do more than the rear seat, and weighs less.

depending on the year and in the seats fold down. Mine folds down and you have to lift carpet from the trunk and the bolts are near where the seatbelts are tucked away.
