Bell mouth dimensions

Default Bell mouth dimensions

I was going to start work on a new intake manifold, and when i looked in Maximum boost for what i thought the proper dimensions were for a bell mouth all i could find was the picture on page 78 (fig 6-8)

I thought there was more to it than that. If there is can someone please tell me

Does that look right? Does anybody else have a way to calculate the proper size, and dimentions?

Yeah, that's it. Remember that a bellmouth is simply intended to smooth out turbulence as it enters a tube. A bellmouth with a radius equal to the diameter of the pipe is ideal.

Now, if what you were really thinking about was a velocity stack, then yes, there is more to it.
