I threw a rod, so I'm shopping around for a d16z6... So far I've gotten 3 quotes, have you had any experiences good or bad with these companies? Do you have any recommendations? I'm in SoCal so I prefer a local seller so I can look at the engine before I buy it...


K Watanabe - $640 delivered

CNS Motors - $650 delivered

SKN - $495 delivered

So what do you think? I like SKN's price, but I've never ever heard of them. I'm kind of skeptical about this...

junkyard, or rebuild your z, it will cost less than the engine, maybe not less, but you would have a better engine in the end.

 

I would call around local junkyards and go from there, if not than go to HMO and get a D15b VTEC.
