Just wondering if a fit of 88-89 tailights with go into the 90-91 H/b??? Does it just mount right up or do you have to do a few mods to it???

yes you can go back to 88-89 tails, they are physically the same.

i kind of like the no border thing on the older ones, i dont know why.

 

you will need to swap all the wiring and stuff, as the plugs changed between the years. i've got 90 tails on my 89 crx, but i still have all the 89 wiring and bulbs and stuff.

yeah what he said. the newer ones have a grey plug and the older ones have a clearish plug.
