no im pretty sure they're not the same, the cover looks different and it has to line up with the cover precisly but bump for someone else's opinion

i think it just depends on where the spark plug holes are located on valve cover that would make them different,(front or back) i've used one off a 95 sohc vtec on a 98 sohc vtec (d16z6 on to a d16y8) and the gaskets never leaked, thats just in my experience though, not always the same outcome for everyone. hope this helps
