I would like to know if you agree or disagree.

I feel this forum is pretty small due to the fact that the RSX, and New Civic SI have not been around as long as other cars on the board. It may be difficult for us to search through the appearance/cosmetic forum if we want to see some pictures of the DC5/EP3

I was thinking this forum should be an exception, and have 1 sticky thread of RSX and one for the Civic SI of our pictures. I wanna see everyones RSX, and there arent many threads. I found 3 posts using the search feature in that forum.

So do you agree or disagree that we should at least be allowed 1 thread for the DC5 and one for the EP3 for just pictures? I agree seperate posts would clutter the forum and should be in the appearance/cosmetic forum

 

ef forum has a pic post i think its an ok idea mods wont like it though...id sugest no replies in the post if it were to happen

 

I agree with you here. Since this is a very small forum, it can be monitored with ease. Again, it can be done with very little moderation. I'm very glad we have a sticky for RSX/EP parts for sale. it helps a lot! We just need to weed some stuff out here and there.

I'm glad you guys agree. I too think it should be a picture post only. The person posting the pics should give the full description in the pic to avoid any questions.

We are a small forum and I never see anything out of hand here. Even when I had my GSR I would visit this forum and it's very good. Who can we ask about this? I don't know any moderators here.

 

You're going to have to approach the guy who sad, "No pictures."

It's his rule.

 

I think if it can be kept to one post and limited commentary it's a great idea.

 

commentary should be none use the im feature to comment or ask a question no reason to post in the pic post

i would have to say no, or at least have size limitations. nothing is worse than some moran posting huge pictures of his newest widget and each pic is 800+kb. i'd say limit pic sizes to 50kb.

 

Id say just as long as its a reasonable size would be ok. Something that you dont have to scroll to the right to see.

iServe automatically posts thumbnails, so you wouldn't have to load the full image unless you were interested in it.

 

I want to second this again!!! It can hard as heck on here to find ep3 pics.

I think it will fine to stick to reasonable size picks, VERY limited commentary, maybe just describing what the suspension or wheels are etc.

I think this is a good idea also. Limitations would be needed though. Personally i dont like the appearance/cosmetic forum because of all the stupid replies and comments ie "you need a drop, etc" If it is done right it can be a great addition to our small community here.

 

i think this is a good idea, but the reality is that this probably wont change much. people wont read the rules, the same bs will be posted and there will just be more problems. if you want ep/rsx pictures go to ephatch or crsx because hondatech sucks for anything related to either car

1) People won't read the rules, as you stated.

2) Honda-tech (this forum specifically) is supposed to be a "tech" forum. Not a picture forum.

3) You can post pics of your cars all you want, just put a few sentences of tech in there and no one will touch them.

I'd be ok with a picture only posting, but from my experience you have random comments of folks who don't read rules, 1600x1200 pics that completely eat bandwidth and screw up the formatting of the thread.

Also, mods would need to go in and mod it on a constant basis. You have no idea how many threads I clean out of the FS forum, which I think serves a better purpose than a pic thread.

While ep3hatch and clubrsx may be a better place for pics, I go overe there and am completely shocked by the amount of mis-information that I find and the goobers that agree with it and go along with it. At least with here, we won't let threads like this continue and will correct them the moment we see them. I personally don't think you get that on other forums.

So take the good with the bad, I guess.

Again, you can create a pic thread anytime you want. Just throw a few sentences of technical info in there and no one will say a thing.

For instance, if you post up some new wheels, just tell the size and offset. That's enough tech for me, and it allows folks to see what fits.
