D15B7 Pistons in a D16Z6 Engine - Just the Facts Please, Thanks...
A friend and I are trying to figure out the best build possible for his budget for his D16Z6.
Right now we're looking at D16A6 pistons with their -3.5 dish versus his -10.1 dished stock D16Z6 slugs. The CR ratio with the A6 slugs is 10.5:1 - just right IMO.
The reason I ask about D15B7 pistons is because he already has a set of those, but a mechanic here is telling me that you cannot use D15B7 pistons in a D16Z6 block because of wrist pin size differences.
I'm alomst positive I've seen a build here on H-T that was exactly what I'm talking about - B7 slugs in a Z6.
Help me out here, thanks.

the pistons will physically fit the z6 rods but the piston's pin location is taller than the d16's thus lowering the c/r.
Thanks - a bit more searching yielded the same answers, so thanks for the verification...
