50 series tire too big?
Do you guys think a 50 series tire is too big for a 15 slipstream? I know someone selling them and Im thinkin about gettin them. I would use these tires but when they need new ones i would get 45. If anyone has 50 series on slips can you post them. Thanks

That depends on what size tires your car normally takes, and what tire size you're considering. As a general rule, you want to keep the outer diameter of the tire size about the same as stock, and you don't want to use tires that are so wide that they will rub on your fender well liners. It has nothing to do with which wheel you're using.

45 would throw off ur speedo quite a bit probably</TD></TR></TABLE>
You can't know whether either of those statements are true, unless you know the stock tire size and what kind of tread width we're talking about. (For example, on most of our cars, a 315/50-15 would NOT be so good, but a 215/45-16 might not throw off the speedo at all.)

50s means nothing!!! a 120/50 is a far thinner sidewall than a 300/50.

negative, 205/50/15 can be used on 5.5-7.5 wheels.
