Hazard flashers not working properly

Hazard flashers not working properly
When I hit the switch on the hazard flashers nothing happens. If I leave them on and hit the turn signal they will come on after a while. I can then turn the turn signal off and they will stay on. I'm thinking the switch is bad but wanted some input before I go buy one.
