Default antifreeze in cylinder 4

i just put a 94ls motor into my 99ls. it started and white smoke starts to come out. smells like antifreeze, so i check the plugs and cylinder 4 is filled w/ antifreeze. the headgasket is fine so thats out of the question. one of my friends think that its the intake manifold gasket. could antifreeze get in that cylinder if the gasket is blown?

wtf your friends are smoking , IM's gasket leaks then leak sympton should be at the IM not inside Cyclinder4 for whatever reason.

i dont know why you said HEADER GASKET IS FINE SO THAT'S OUT OF THE QUESTION. hgasket leak doesn't necessary to have leak going out of the gasket.

if coolants are in cyclinder 4 when checking spark that means coolants had been in cyclinder 4 combustion chamber. if coolants able to go in cyclinder 4, YOU GOT BAD GASKET INSTALLATION?

think about it

i say the head gasket is fine because i just replaced it. i've replaced a head gasket 3 times before and i always use a helms for reference. maybe the head or block is warped?
heres the scenario:
im filling the radiator w/ antifreeze, w/ the spark plug out of cyc.4 i start to see antifreeze going in. not flooding in but slowly.

LOL
it is to possible to have a crack in the intake manifold or the
the head itself so have that double check.....

It's could be a cracked sleeve or something... I'd pull the head and check all the sleeves...

Worse case senairo is a cracked block. Your going to have to pull everything to check. Hope it works out for you

hey,
i havent had time to work on my car or even check things out because of work and other things, but i just wanted to know if there were any differences (gasket, holes lining up) with a 94 obd1 to a 99 obd2 intake mani.? my friend who sold me the motor swears that is the problem.

whatever it is....you got internal bleeding. either cracked, badgasket installation, block or head gasket's mounting surface is warped, somewhere at C-4

well good luck man...but only the only way to know is to open it up when u got time...sound like it's warped

it could be the intake manifold gasket......there is that coolant passage right beside the #4 intake runner that could be leaking into the cylinder.

you might want to bring the head into a machine shop to see if the surface is flat. maybe pressure test it as well...
