Engine Management systems?!?!?!?!?!
I'm confused on what engine management system i should go with. My friends are tryin to help me out, but they just go back and forth back and forth between the options. The options are: LDL motorsports chipped p28, AEM wideband, VAFC. option 2. Hondata s200.
Any experienc with these EMS would help a lot, also your opinions would be helpful as well. Thanks in Advance.

As nice as NepTune would be, I believe it's hard to come by. I know that only certain shops have it, and as far as I know it's not available any other way.

it all depends on the setup u have
mild street car-V-AFC or Chipped ECU
fully modded/ race car- AEM EMS, Hondata, PowerFC
but, i will also say that Hondata will also work for u on a street car as well. all these are tuneable for fuel, but the other higher models like Hondata and PowerFC(by Apex'i) have tables for also tuning ignition maps and have idle stabalizer controls (for those of you using ITBs and chunky cams). It all depends on the use of ur vehicle and the mods u have done to ur motor. good luck with ur decision.

A chipped ecu tuned for your vehicle on crome or uberdata or even neptune etc, will do the same job as hondata or aem ems, unless you need all the fancy features of a standalone unit, which most n/a motors that are streetable don't.
To get a basic concept on how a chipped ecu will work check out:

Good Luck.

Thank's for your input.
I'ts not going to be a crazy setup up. It's just gonna be mild.

If it's within your financial capabilities to afford an EMS, then I believe you should get one. The EMS is far more capable than any stock ECU based system (such as Hondata), is much more flexible, and is much more powerful.
If you're hell belt on Hondata, it's a good system, but I think you would find Crome to be almost equally capable (more so in some regards) at a fraction of the price.

Hondata is tough with ITBs because its based on Manifold pressure. Vacuum logs with itbs usually dont acheive as low of a reading at idle as stock plenum set ups. I tune Hondata and im not ******* it by anymeans (because it really is SUPER easy to use, although there are better systems out there. AEM is really a way better system although farily expensive. although hondata's prices are coming way down, probably from pressure dealing with Uberdata, Crome, and mabye Neptune, although i havent read much about Neptune yet.
Hondata is good for Mild to Medium street set ups, but i wouldnt use it on a race car (in some cases)
Bryan, ask me about Hondata some time, ill tell you some more things id rather not post here.

You need to tell us your setup before we can make a good recommendation. If all you have is basic boltons and maybe some cams, then a vafc would be fine for a litte fine tuning. But if your running a more worked setup than uber/hondata, aem ems would be the obvious choice.
if you don't on plan on modifying your engine anymore you should use crome/uberdata or watever freeware is out there. But if your gonna pay for something, get the aem ems, it has built in features that will be there if you choose to use it. For example, disributorless, you can fin the aem ems for as cheap as 800 bucks
