DIY: Painting with the correct compressor
hey everyone, summer time is comming and im getting ready to paint my car and i was wondering if you guys think a craftsman 33 gal. 150psi 6 hp would be alright for painting? I was trying to pick up a 60gal, but i have to do some wiring to the curcit breaker thats located in the basement, which ended up costing more then my budget. But please tell me your inputs if you guys think a 33gal would be ok? Below is the link of my compressor.

HELL YA *****!!! THATS DA ****! I got it a few months ago, damn works so nicely for powertools...as for painting, damn straight. See, painting doesn't take much power, it's the size of the gallon that matters the most. More gallon = less time on filling it out = takes a longer time to get empty....basically you will be using 40psi to 60psi for your paint job. That's the perfect thing to use. BTW, I think that's 30gl....Im painting my car also this summer and i've done a lot of reasearch...btw, what paint are you using?? Let me know.
i was talking to my body man he told me that my 30 gallon will do just fine as long as it will fill up quick. so i have the paint now and i am waiting for my spoiler to come in and do the rest of my body work. then we will see how good the compressor works. i would say you should have a really good gun also.
