Default WTB Sleeved GSR motor

I'm looking for a sleeved GSR motor. Bare block, short block, longblock, whatever. No bigger than a 84mm bore. If anyone has anything let me know. Must include crank. I' looking to build a turbo GSR motor so if you have anyother related parts let me know about that as well. Right now the short block is my main concern though.

May consider ls/vtec motors, if its a good deal, but i prefer it be a GSR.

I know you want a GSR, but. I have this up for grabs:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1188399

b16 84mm darton MID 2 sleeved block, pistons, and rods.

EDIT. The b16 84mm bore will be ~ a 1.8 L engine

Yea, he has a GSR block, but LS crank. Which hits the oil squirters in MANY cases.

The GSR also has a block girdle compared to a B16. But the B16 does have better a r/s ratio if he wants to rev high.

The r/s ratio will also suffer with a ls crank in a gsr block. Probably fine for an all power drag car but spinning it in te 8s and 9s would probably have some ill effects.

^ nice motor but the price is a little high.

this motor will be on the streets on a regular basis, maybe daily. I rather have the rod ratio the GSR provides me so i dont have to worry so much about reving it into the 8k range.

As for the LS. I really wouldnt mind it but if the car does go straight race, a motor swap is considered a power adder. I rather have the option of spraying than an LS block/crank

I have not heard of these "ill effects" of revving high with the ls crank in the gsr block. Non at all actually and allot of people do this. Id spin it to 9k every day. Care to elaborate or point me in another direction?

I have always been under the impression that the farther away you move from the perfect r/s ratio (the b16 is like right at it) the less you should rev to. Revving higher would put more lateral strain on the motor: pistons into the walls.
The more strain, undoubtedly the more wear over time. Wether its a big deal or not, im not really sure.

I donno, thats how ive always understood it.
