I agree. You do get what you pay for most of the time.

**** EBAY coils...i got some of those just for now till i save up for better suspension later...and the stock springs are way better...the EBAY coils bounce so much and its a soft spring too...plus i loose stability in and out of turns...but hey it was only 20 bucks...so it was pretty cheap...

haha, thats a good way to put it

just dont mess with ebay altogether when it comes to car stuff.

stick to the classifieds and sponsors of this site, as well as other reputable sites. you will save more money in the long run by doing it right the first time y0

yo i got 20 dollar ebay coilovers for my 97 teg bad idea, mad bounce, and way less traction. then my struts blew out. i need some help, im lookin for new ones, i was gonna go tokico blues, the lowering kit, but i dont know if the 1.75in drop will make my tires rub? or if i'll need a camber kit, can anyone give me some advice? i dont got alot of cash, but i need the whole set up, springs and struts. i can spend no more than $450-500.

Good luck on getting a good ride for $450-$500. If you really want to do it right, save your money and do it right the first time. I would recommend full coilovers like the Tien SS coils and you are going to need a camber kit for F & R. The Skunk2 camber kit would be good for upfront and ingalls for the rear. Just a recommendation, if you go cheap your going to get a cheap ride.

i had ebay coilovers on my 96 civic for 1.5 years and never had a problem with them. they were pretty stiff, but thats expected with any coilover. the car drove fine, and i didn't have a problem with shocks going out. i have name brand springs on my integra, and i'm not too impressed. just something to think about.

lets put it this way, you pay $89 for coil overs and you get $89 worth of quality in that suspension. save your money and do what was already suggested like buy a Tein full coil over or a Ground Control and Koni yellow set up

i think the reason he's considering ebay coilovers is because he's on a budget, meaning no full coilovers or aftermarket shocks. for what you pay i think the ebay coilovers are a good deal; i paid around $50 shipped for mine back in the day. i had several friends with ebay coilovers too; nobody had any problems with them. i don't see any major problems with using them; obviously the ride will be stiffer and shocks could go out with any brand of coilover.

ebay is good for alot of things.. but like the saying goes...."you get what you pay for". i wouldnt trust ebay brand parts for my suspension. unless your buying a brand one coil over system off of it. otherwise...bad idea...

Those parts (tein,skunk2,GC,etc)are most of the time straight from the distributor or somebody tryin to dropship and they are the same product you get if you ordered them direct. Shop wisely on ebay and you will find good deals.
