Default Need Help!!! Timing belt removal. Thanks

I am in the process of installing my new pistions and I need to take the crank case pulley off to get the timing belt off. I am using a helms manual but I am not sure the direction for loosing the bolt, Is it normal counter clockwise to loosen or clockwise due to its rotaion. Thanks.

if you don't plan on using the timing belt, you can always just cut it off
