tein SS springs are great for looks, but they don't increase the spring rates much, so the performance isn't as great as you could get. The best suspension you could get would be to look at some full coilovers. I myself have been looking at the Tein Basics and the Tanabe sustec pro S-OC type IIs. Both entry level, height adjustable only, but around 800-900 dollars. Of course, there's tons of nicer suspension setups out there. I think the rates for those are like 8kg/mm 10kg/mm for the teins, and 8kg/mm 8kg/mm for the tanabes. That's just what i've heard, i still need to look it up.
*EDIT* My bad, for some reason when i heard SS i thought S-tech. Everything i said about the SS suspension was in reference to S-tech springs. The SS suspension is well worth the money in my opinion. If you're gonna shell out for the Basics you might as well upgrade to the adjustable dampening of the SS. And i believe they are compatible with the EDFC that Tein makes. Sorry for the mix up guys.

I heard the Mugen's are great for daily driving, but for tracking the car I have heard they are to soft.
<-- Tein Flex.

For the Mugens, daily driving is perfect! Occasional track use will be fine. Anything Intermediate and up at a HPDE will probably be a little soft. But again, for the street, they are PERFECT!

The combination of Tein SS coilovers, Progress swaybars front and rear, the Mugen knock-off front strut bar and interior body brace and some good tires makes the DC5 handle better than just about any other car I've driven.
That's my personal experience. I've also used Koni Yellows with Progress springs and the combination sucked. It wasn't stiff enough for me and the shocks all leaked within two months. Those were the Koni inserts, by the way...I'm not sure if they have full-strut systems for the DC5 yet, nor do I care.
In the end, the suspension that is right for your car depends on what you do with it. If you drive on the street and do nothing worthwhile, just lower it on S-Techs and be done with it because - and let's be honest - most of the people on here who pretend to do any kind of "performance driving" don't and on the street, exit speeds aren't nearly as important as comfort and fashion.
Play to your field, gentlemen. For the track, the above combo works well. For the street, anything cheap by Tein or Eibach on cheap struts will do you fine.

I'll personally vouch for the Fightex's, love them.
