Will a Zc motor bolt straight up to a 1990 Civic Si with no addition parts needed? I founda whole kit for 700 bucks and i was wondering if i needed different axles and motor mounts and all that like you need for a B16a swap. Please someone help me i'm stuck on which engine to buy and since i have no prior experience in swapping out motors i would like to do the easiest one first then put the engine in that needs more mechanical experience in my 91 Si..............pls any info would be much appreciated.

 

zc is a "D" series motor, It will bolt directly up to your current SI setup.

 

a SOHC ZC will probably be one of the more easy swaps because basically its the dame d16a6 with a meaner cam. I sure as hell noticed the differenece over stock.

 

If its a single cam ZC then its should bolt straight up, however if its a twin cam ZC then you will have to change the dizzy plugs.

 

sorry to sound stupid but what the hell are dizzy plugs? I have just ordered a book containing all the info with pictures on what will be needed and showing the tools required and all that to do a motorswap. But i've never heard of dizzy plugs. Could anyone help me out and inform me as to wha these are?
