Default Messed up Studs

The studs on my 90 crx are in really bad shape. I spent an hour prying the wheel off and when it finally came loose the studs where dug into the hub and crooked. now to the point where i cant even put a lug nut on the stud with the wheel on. I need this car running asap, what parts should i salvage for?? and btw, happy easter!

I’m guessing it’s the front, right? You will need to pull the hub/hubs knock out the studs and put new ones back in. you can get new ones from most any parts store. You should also figure out why they got screwed up. When you pull the hub the bearing race will be on the hub, make sure you don’t mess it up.

the knuckle has been bent from a previous accident, had a lot of positive camber and i think the daily driving messed up the studs.

would replacing the whole knucle assembly with brakes and hubs already on it be any easier than just the hub and studs? im askin this cuz im going to pull the parts off a scrap crx/civic

it depends on the tools you have. you can change out all of it but who knows what the "new" stuff is like. it sounds like you need to change the knuckle anyway.

get a pickle bar or puller for the balljoints, do not hammer on the threads, it'll make the balljoints useless. there is a trick to hit it with a hammer not on the balljoint, but search for that.
