ITR FPR on a JDM B16a?
Hi, i have the chance to buy a Type R fuel rail and FPR at a really cheap price. I was wondering if the Type R fuel rail and FPR is different from the B16a?
Naturally thinking you would say that the Type R FPR and fuel rail flows more fuel but who knows.
The reason why i want this upgrade is i need it for my mild setup:
JDM Gen 2 B16a - 10.7:1 Compression
Stock B16a Gen 2 cams
2 layer headgasket
Ported & polished head
Bored throttle body
Short ram intake
4-2-1 header
2.25" mandrel bent exhaust with N1 muffler.
VAFC
Currently with the stock B16a fuel rail and FPR it runs lean from 4000rpm to 5800rpm (due to p&p head). I would like to get more fuel in and tune with my VAFC.
So answer my question please? Will a Type R fuel rail and FPR be beneficial on a mild B16a?
Thank you, have a nice day

there might me a pressure difference between them, but you wont know untill you put it in...the highest stock fpr that i have seen is the one for a 92/93 B17 wich tops at almost 51 psi.
But as sayd above just get am adjustable fpr; they are very cheap.

According to a source that works at Honda. Standard B16a FPR holds 38psi while an ITR FPR holds 45psi.
He said that the FPR is more for the bling factor and the ITR FPR is more than enough for my application. If it runs too rich then I can tune via my VAFC
