anywhere between 160-180psi should be sufficient.

so it should be reading around 40psi..then? i was googling for this information like a ***** and the only thing i found was some guy saying i should be at like 55-58 if you've upgraded airflow.. but im sure my air fuel guage will tell me how well im running right? .. sorry i've never tampered with the fuel sys of a car before so i juss wanna make sure this kid before me didn f things up...ill tune it to 40 and see what happens if im running too low ill be looking at what kinds of indications?

^^^Waaaay too vague.

Need some specifics for both of the engines above. And you should use a wideband to get an actual airfuel reading.

Generally speaking, 40psi is usually a good starting point for a stock motor with I/H/E...

I run my fuel pressure at 46psi @ idle

is the 40psi generally speaking for any d-series?
for the basics im running the usual i/h/e. when i bought my fpr and gauge it was pushing 42psi and seemed to be running very rich, i could quite a bit of excess fuel.

i was told to drop it down to 30psi but now it feels under powered.

jdm d15b sohc vtec
crappy toms motorsport CAI with K&N filter
2.5" ss exhaust
crappy obx 4-2-1 header (gota sweet deal so s'all good, upgrading to dc in near future).

just wondering a suggested (safe) fuel pressure.
and if it matters, i have choices of 87,89,91,93,94 octane.

help me out.
