ey guys im lookin at buyin a fairly high km car, for future engine transplant, however to keep my parents happy i want to wind back the kms 100,000 or so

how easy is it to do this on a delsol or EG civic cluster?

guides/pics would be very helpful :D thanks in advance

Buy low mileage cluster. Swap clusters once car is acquired = parents!

This has been discussed many times / also HIGHLY illegal

yea i dind't realise it was illegal till i was talkin to my mate bout it today

swap your cluster, show your parents, put the cluster that came with it back in. When your parents ask you how you put 40k miles on it since you've bought it, tell them you've been having fun driving and you just cant pull away

seriously though, when/if you go to sell your car carfax reports will show if mileage has changed and you'll turn away a lot of buyers if a roll back is evident.

 

In some states you have to keep the original odometer connected to the car.

 

The odometer needs to be the same to match the miles on the body, not the miles on the engine.
