f4i vs 600rr

F4i is more comfy. RR is more track-oriented.
I have seen road tests that put the 1/4 mile acceleration for both bikes on roughly the same level. Unless you really want the look of the RR, the F4i will be the better buy.

from what i've heard and read aboout that f4i makes an excellent stuntbike if you are into that type of thang. the rr is focused for the track. think the rr is sick looking. the availability of plastics for the f4i is better compared to the rr if you happen to drop it.
if you get the f4i make sure you get the 2 piece seat instead of that damn banana.

Not an option if he wants a new one.
I do think the 2-piece seat looks much better than the F3-style banana seat, but what really makes the new bike look stupid is that awful, non-color-matched sissy bar in the back.
My SV has a bar, but it's color-matched to the body and angular.

Im not into stunting . So the f4i is better for daily driving? Is it safe to compare the two to say ... the ITR and the gsr?? Which one is actually easier (if theres such a thing) to handle? thx again

Sort of. However, the GS-R is a lot slower than the ITR. The difference in acceleration between the two CBRs is much closer, and some mags even have the f4i pulling better times.

I'd have to vote for the F4i. The seating position is more relaxed. Really no reason to get the RR unless you absolutely must have the look, or you're going to the track a lot.

It costs more because the equipment is just a little more trick. If you wanna go racing, the RR is the better bet, as the F4i isn't quite as extreme as the R6, Gixxer600, etc.

if you want something for daily riding then get a f4i. If youre going to go to the track then get a rr. I had a conversation with a honda dealer and he told me that the powerbands are a huge difference. When you hit the throddle on a rr you are left saying "ohhhh ****" compared to a f4i where the power is pretty much even throughout the powerband. Makes sense? I hope so. I love my f4i!!

Id have to disagree with you there. I dont really do the track(yet) but that doesnt mean I dont ride the bike hard. The RR handles the twisties better than the f4i IMO. The RR has more race orientated suspension, which translates into better handling, more responsive handling. And that is important to me, as Im not into stunting at all.

Both bikes can handle being commuted on and both bikes can handle the track, its just whatever you want the little edge on. I commute on my 600rr, itd be more comfortable on a f4i but I dont have any problems. My race bike is a f4i and it holds its own fine. Stock from the factory the clipons are higher up on the f4i so you're not bent as far over with as much weight on your wrists and the rear sets are in a more friendly position.
You can probably find an 03 for like 6.5 depending on upgrades give or take.

^ all that annnnnd I ride a 2000F4 - Which is basically before the RR came out, and before the F4i went back to bananna - It handles fine (i leave Mag00n in the dust on his 03' RR
jusssst kiddddding
) and it was cheap $3500
If you want a damn nice bike and you don't want to spend 6k - look into a 2001-2002 F4i - Best bang/look/overall for the buck
or an SV

LOL...that's too funny. You track an F4i and commute on an RR.
Although I guess that's no sillier than people who drive ITRs and track CRXs.

I suppose it makes sense to want to track the older, cheaper bike.
*****/"hybridreams" bought an SV as a track bike and his daily driver is an R6.
I guess we have to wait until we get a lot richer in order to use the bikes how they are meant to be used - ie. using the pricey, track-dedicated bikes on the track and the cheap, bare-bones bikes on the street.

Sort of what I do or will be doing. The SV will be for the track and my RC will be my daily commuting/weekend bike, but the RC will see some track time....oh yes......oh yes it will indeed.

Well I really disagree with saying the RR is more track oriented.... From what I've seen on and off the track the F4i is a much better all around bike I've also spent numerous hours on both Bikes and I still would go with the F4i... F4i might not have a top speed as high as the RR but through the RPM ranges the F4i is stronger... If u really havn't ridin alot of bike and pretty much know the differences and you are just the average rider you will not be able to tell the difference except for comfortability.....
