I just bought a 94 LS and the only seat adjustments are the recline lever, the front-back sliding bar, and the lumbar support lever on the right side of the driver's seat.

Not bad, but on one particular 3g Teg that I test drove a few weeks ago, I remember *really* liking the 2 little ***** on the left side of the driver's seat. I noticed that you can rotate them, and it adjusts the tilt of the butt support area.
- Can anyone clue me in on which year or models this seat came in?


I think I'd like to swap mine out to the knobbed one for better comfort.

Well, at least I know one car that has the **** then, thanks for that.
But the Teg I test drove was definitely not the gs-r, it was either the LS or GS model. I can totally remember looking at the motor and it was non-vtec.

yes they bolt right int. Make sure you don't buy sedan front seats cause they don't have the lever to make the seat slide forward for passengers in the back seat.

gsr seats are usually leather. That is the only difference. Between 94-97, some gsr's came with cloth seats. However, from 98-up all gsrs came with leather seats. As for cloth seats, there is a big variety of patterns in the upholstery of the cloth seats.

My 98 GSR has cloth seats

 

leather was optional on GSRs from 95-98, standard from 99+. and the padding is different between some of the seats, there's another thread on that somewhere.

i did the exact thing on my 95.. but not because of choice.. my 95 leathers got stolen.. so i had the choice of getting another 95 replacement w/ the same adjustments.. or getting the 98+ w/ the front and rear tilt for the lower pad adjust.. i went w/ the 98 seats.. they are direct bolt in... i had to get the whole seat plus rails and screws because my seats got jacked... they bolt right in..

i got my seats off my friend...i was lookin in classifieds, online and stuff and then my homeboi crashed/totalled his car and i took his seats and his newer floormats and cargo net haha.. i just unbolted his seats, rails, and bolts.. and transferred it to mine..

you can find front leathers on the used market anywhere ranging from $300-$1,000...
