rim backspacing on drag car
anyone know what backspacing i will need for a set of 15x10"s using a one piece front end. i am using 96 ex knuckles, the car is a 92 hatch.
all you need to do is go out to your car an take some mesurements.
but i belive a 4.5inch back space would be ok. (i think that is what we are running on a nitro driveline spindle)

i have 13X8 rims and use a 6" backspacing but i had to do some custom "trimmin" with the grinder on my knuckles. also once i put my slicks on i had to "trim" for a little more clearance, the rims would spin but the slicks letters would touch the knuckle. with a 15" wheel i would assume ur using pretty big slicks (25"and above) i would say 5" or 5.5" would be maximum u would/could go cause of the slicks width.
from the face of the rotor to the outermost part of the upper control arm is 5 1/4 inches. i would imagine the tire would hang over the rim some. 4 to 4.5 sounds about correct but would really like some opinions before ordering these wheels monday.
