Its sad that i know a lot about hondas and stuff, but ask me something electrical, and i'm like..uhh..what? Anyways.. kinda foolish question, but If I get a 2000 Civic SI cd player with the anti-theft code and all, its a simple plug and play for my 92 civic SI? or do I still have to get a wiring kit for it? Thanks in advance

oh ok, yeah i'm not too big into the whole sound department, i wanted to get a nice aftermarket pioneer or something like that..but the way **** is now, they'll steal your whole damn car just to take the CD player if it looks expensive, thats why i just wanted to get a stock ITR or SI cd playter and call it a day...no one wants to break into a car and steal a stock honda cd player... so what modifications would i have to do to fit the ITR CD player in the EG? Its being shipped to my house as we speak...
I'm sure it'll go in the hole in your EG, however, securing it might be an issue... Your stock EG radio was held in by two 8mm bolts screwed through a crossbeam underneath the radio... You'll have to figure something out to hold that in there.
I think there will be a gap around the radio too... The hole in EG's are round-cornered, and the ITR deck will be square...
I don't think it'll look too hot... Then there's the wiring issue... You'll need a 71-1721 harness to plug into the ITR deck, and a 70-1720 harness to plug into your EG harness...
Shoulda just got a cheapy aftermarket and called it a day...
