need some info, thinking about buying an rsx S
My turbo b16a crx was stolen, and ive been contemplating on getting a rsx. Im a honda loyalist,
however this is my 3rd honda that has been stolen and im fed up with the thiefs etc... I guess my question is, are alot of rsx's getting stolen, i dont want a car thats going to attract theft, im more than likely going to leave it stock.
The type S, do they come with the factory sub or was that an option. what kind of gas mileage do they get, i was under the impression that they do not have a timing belt, but that they use a timing chain. i guess i just needs some general thoughts and opinion on these cars, ive found a couple of 03's with 30k ish miles for about 16-17 is that a fair price.
Give me some pro's and con's

the S doesn't get stolen as often as most other hondas, like type-r's. As for the sub, that's stock. The gas averages about 30 hwy and 22 city. I get like 320 a tank combined driving. Yes they use a timing chain, the reason is because the k series uses VTC which is a computer control'd adjustable intake cam, no more cam gears needed. As for the price, 16-17 is good. The only thing to look out for is the second gear grind. The syncros are a little rough going into second. that's the only bad thing about the car that i think of. Also, I upgraded the stereo with in the first 2 weeks. If you can find an a-spec one try to get that one. They look good and are already nicer than stock S.
whats the diffrence in the aspec, and the regular s, the one i was looking at had a aspec badge, but i figured he was a ricer and just put the badge on.
No grinds or rough shifting on my 04. It can be an issue, but not all cars have it so don't let the forums freak you about about that one too much.
As for theft, Type S has lots of anti-theft features to it; chipped key and immobilizer, VIN decals on everything, etc. But then anything can get jacked.
P.S. I FRIGGIN LOVE MY RSX.

i have a rough shift on my '02, but just take the service report to a dearler to get it fixed for free. theres a forum on here somewhere with it on there you can print off. but no, it doesnt come with a factory sub and lip kit, ect. are optional, so you can leave it looking as stock as possible
Well I just got my 05 RSX and I'm a little worried. I know the seats are popular. I have the wheel locks but I'm sure there can be ways around that. I think the 02-04 would be less theft, but then again the K swap is also getting popular. I had a 94 GSR and I was paranoid with it. I hope I don't have to get like that with this car.
