I ordered a body kit for my 01 GSR from GTP sometime last summer, I believe it was in June. Well, I finally got it 2 weeks ago and made an appointment with a local guy to get it prepped, sprayed, and installed. When I went to pick up my car the kit didn't fit at all!!! The front was an Xtreme front end, it looks exactly like the pic below, I don't understand why it wouldn't fit. Its not like they could have sent me the wrong one for a Civic or something because of the 4 round lights must mean its for an integra? The bumper wouldnt slide on because it kept hitting the headlights, it wasn't even close to going on. There was no way to move the headlight back so the kit would kind of fit. Then I looked at the back and there isn't a place for a liscense plate like the correct one installed on an Integra below, so I figure they sent me the rear to a civic or something because they have the plates on the trunk lid. So I called GTP today and they basically said tough poo poo because I didnt' test fit it first. Me or my body shop guy didn't talk or think about test fitting, I ordered a kit for a 01 GSR so I figured they sent me a kit for a 01 GSR. The only thing they said they can do is give me a discount on another kit. I paid almost 600 with shipping and another $700 for a ton of hours to fix the poo pooy quality fiberglass and paint it. The sideskirts seem to be okay but I don't want just side skirts. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

i thought they only made the extreme kit for 94-97, so u may have it for that year, and you may have to modify the kit to fit your headlights since it an 01 teg.

Are the headlights different for a 94-97 teg? I'm not sure what year they made it for but I specifically told the buy what car and what year I had!!

 

headlights and front bumper are different from 98+

 

So, do you think I could get headlights from an older teg since I already have the painted front bumper, or wouldn't the fenders still line up?

 

it's kind of a downgrade, but you can buy the older style headlights. They will bolt directly up to your car. No modifications needed.

 

Is it really that much of a downgrade? I guess it's better than being screwed out of all this money!! Know where I could get a set from?

 

check the for sale forums and look for a used set. Brand new from the dealer will kill you.

 

Does anybody know what a good price is, or what I could get for my 01 headlights? Are the turn siganls the same size or will I need a set of them to?

turn signals are the same, and if you find someone who's interested, you might be able to trade your 98+ for some 94-97 and some cash. I can't see the pictures of your kit..but i really hope it's worth it..

Sorry to hear about your trouble. But yes if you order a kit for the 1994-1997 you need to get the headlights changed. I am ordering a Street fighter front for mine in a few days. I had a question. Was the quality of the body kit good. Because I am thinking of getting mine with GTP also known as Importfan.com Let me know your experience and input will help me

hey jamal, i got some 94-97 headlights for sale if you want to buy them from me.... and gsr1998white, i suggest you should order from import trenz rather than importfan.. .the prices are alot cheaper and their stuff is pretty good quality me and all my friend got our kits from there... imma be installing mine in the springtime... i'll have pictures then....
