gas tank 1/4 full engine getting no gas
Well I just added another CRX to the family 2 days ago. It is a 88 HF CRX, since gas went ip I figured why not. Anyway the pervious owner told me that if you run the gas tank under a 1/4 the car will die. He said that there is a whole in a line that when the gas gets low it sucks in air and the cars thinks it is out of gas. Would you happen to know what line that is, or are there multiple lines? How easy is it to find this out? Do I have to drop the tank to do this? Any info would be great. Thank you so much.

I think the filter might have poped out in your tank so when it gets to the 1/4th mark it wont be able to suck anymore gas cause filter is off? Thats my guess tough.(filter bag acts like a vacume and sucks up all the gas)
My friend I bought this off of said that is what he thought so he replaced the pump. Are you talking about the filter on the pump itself? When he replaced the pump does the filter come with the new pump? I am going to have to drop the tank to fix this aren't I? Thank you for your help thus far
bump, i have the same problem.
i have changed the fuel pump, filter, injectors, resistor box, lines, regulator...
any ideas? if i go below half a tank, my car dies and wont turn on.

my crx does the same thing. it was my fault though. when i changed my fuel pump to a walbro, i left too much fuel in the tank and the jack put a dent in it. now whenever it reaches about half a tank, it runs out of gas since the pump is in the rear and the remaining fuel must be up in front. it sucks when you only get around 100 miles out of a tank of gas...

well... im my mind, i would think there is a hose/tube that comes off of the pump laying in the bottom of the tank to suck all the way to the bottom, maybe that line has popped off...does that make sence? btw im not sure its just a guess

The pump has a "sock" on the bottom of it that needs to sit just above the bottom of the tank. If it is crushed onto the bottom of the tank it will not draw gas properly. Learned this the hard way with my Walbro
