Rear wiper stops on the spot when its turned off...
Ok so when I turn my rear wiper on it actually works fine. But when I turn it off it just stops on the spot (usually). On occasion it will park its self. Anyone have any clues?
In all automotive wipers that I know of, there is a circuit board that is within the wiper assembly. As the arm moves, there is a "wiper" that makes contact with it. It provides voltage to the motor until it "parks".
If the circuit isn't broken, then it's possible that the voltage that feeds the circuit is bad. That voltage should be present at any time the ignition is turned on.
Check the plug that hooks up to the wiper. There should be at least two wires. One should be 12 volts any time the ignition is on. The other should be 12 volts only when the wipers are turned on.
