Default tranny?

ok i brought a used jdm gsr tranny and i but it in its been in for like 7000 miles and its a good trans now when i shift at high rpms it grinds slighly could does this mean my fluid is bad because i never changed it my friend told me that i should st 3k because its been sitting dry for long but i use royal purple sryncomesh HELP plz trans costed 1000$

try changing the tranny fluid first before thinking of rebuilding. i had the same problem with my tranny and i just changed the fluid and no more grinding
