Your local body man may have a better answer then you. Though you can help yourself out (if you have body experience) by fixing what ever the damage is before you get it painted. I'm thinking you could save a couple hundred just by doing everything yourself, getting it ready for paint. It shouldn't take a body man more than a few hours to completely paint and clear coat it. Also it's usually cheaper to buy your own paint and what not. Shouldn't take more than a quart to do it.

You would need to:
clean up the scratches/gouges of any burs with a razor blade.
lightly sand area to be bondo'd.
bondo any deep scratches.
let bondo cure and sand it all smooth.
lightly sand whole lip. (gives primer something to stick too)
primer lip several times.
sand with fine grit, the whole lip once primer has cured.

Remember, when you use primer, make sure you get a color that is close to factory. If you go with a too dark or to light of primer it can make the yellow a different shade...then it will not match.

Good luck

go to a dealership, preferably a honda/acura dealership but it doesnt matter, go to the back and go into the bodyshop and find one of the painters and ask him if he wants some sidework, they all do so hell say yes, tell him what you want done, hell hook you up, all your paying for is his labor, he can get the paint and supplies for free

anyway dont talk to the shop manager just the painter
