Default DX to GSR

Aside from the OBD-0 to OBD-1 conversion harness, do i still need to do the whole resistor box swap on it? and is there any rhing different than the b16a1 swap that i need to know about?

I hate new people saying search, you should know that you must be around for at least 6 months before you can say that

The only thing that I can see different is the native B18C1 transmission is going to be hydraulically actuated and a header designed for a B16A/B specifically will not clear the oil pan. Other then that, it will be the same.

did search. I asked if there was a difference between the b16 swap and the gsr swap. im not gonna spend hours searching for a simple question that wasnt cleared up on any of the links.

yeah its actually just a gsr head (yes i know not the best combo) on a b16a1 block. I was gonna go 0bd-0 with everything but im thinking it would be easier to do the converion to 0bd-1 and avoid all the hassle. My biggest issue is do i still need the twinkie (resistor box)

Assuming you are speaking of a CRX DX, you will use your engine harness and use the resistor box from the swap, do an MPFI swap and convert Obd0 to Obd1. With the B16 swap you do not need to convert Obd but you will still need to do the MPFI swap. Make sure you use a PR3 or PW0 ecu for the B16.

For all your wiring needs - http://www.rywire.com
MPFI or a simple sub-harness for a si/hf to any engine. Let us know what you need.

As far as the resistor box goes....if you want to run OBD1/2 injectors, you do not need it. If you want to run MPFI OBD0 injectors, you will need to wire in the resistor box. My harness comes with all the details for that wiring.

I did this exact obd0-dpfi to obd1-mpfi swap myself in my DX CRX.

I did the MPFI stuff first, and then worked on the obd-1 conversion.

Either Blown90hatcH or the guys at Rywire are great guys to ask. Jason and Ryan have both helped me out in the past, even when I just needed info to do the wiring myself.

He could just buy the LSD cable transmission and bolt it up to the C1 and save himself the cable to hydraulic swap.

As far as the injectors go. I'm sure we all know this but, you can use obd-0 injectors on an obd-1 setup, but you have to keep the resistor box because it will fry the injectors if you dont. You can use obd-1 injectors on an obd-1 setup (duh!) and not even use the resistor box.

sorry for ne body who dislikes people who dont "search" im just not at all familiar with the conversion setup. i was originally gonna treat the gsr as if it was a b-16 head and use obd-0 injectors, dizzy and ecu. i havent heard of ne one really doing this and fear it wouldnt run appropiately, especially with all the sensors remaining obd-1, and was considering the conversion. im still deciding what i should do, so im just trying to gather as much info as possible.
