Default My Ingalls Camber Kit disappointment

OK, honestly, the disappointment is with myself. Let me explain:

I bought the Ingalls front anchor bolt kit (35710) that has a "-3/4° to 1° Range" < - that's what it says on the box.

I thought this was perfect, since I needed to decrease the camber on my passenger's side exactly that much, so I would have -2.5 on both sides instead of -2.5 and -1.7

That's right, I wanted more negative camber...for autocrossing.

Well it turns out the kits "-3/4° to 1° Range" are absolute numbers, not relative numbers. I figured this out just before I installed them.

So here I have a brand new front camber kit worth $125 that I do not need on my CRX.

...and I need a hug...

...from a supermodel.

Hmmm. Now I'm starting to think I was sent the wrong kit.

that kit should allow you to move in that range from wherever you were at. here is no way they can quote an absolute number, that would imply that you could always set camber to +1 degree, regardless of drop.

Then apparently I have the right box, but the wrong kit came out of it. I looked at thier online instructions and it even says there:

"...make sure you have the correct kit. The black block
kit will provide –.75° to +1.0° of camber change on most vehicles
and the silver block kit will provide +1.25° to +3.0° of camber
change."

The kit I have does have a black sliding plate, but the only part that could be described as the block is indeed silver.

Also, the bushing holes on the stock units are directly in line with the uppper mount bolts...that woud be zero. On these, the hole starts on the outer side, and then the range of travel is further out to the outside.

Fortunately, these are from Tire Rack, so they should be able to take care of an exchange.

OK, for the record, Tire Rack is awesome.

1.) They are open on Saturdays

2.) They are shipping me the correct kit now

3.) They are having UPS pick up the other kit from my work at no cost
