Any of you have a pair of the:
Dragonfly

Or
103 Leather Pant

I believe the 103's are new for this year and they also look much more comfortable for the street then the dragonfly. They seem to be like the:
Joy pant:

With a puck added and that's what I was looking at doing last year anyway.
I know some of you have been to the D-store so maybe you have see the two and have some real world comments on them.
I have a Scud B jacket I wear on every ride that I will be zipping these up to.
Scud B:

If you are familiar with the jacket you know it isn't exactly marketed for the track and I plan on just using this combo for tame street rides. So I'm looking for something comfortable and functional but also offering good protection.
I'll most likely be purchasing a one piece Vanson suit within the next few months to take up duty as my track suit and hard street rides in the mountains. So my the Dainese jacket and pant combo would be used in everyday riding and probably colder weather situations because the suit will most likely be fully perforated.
I'll most likely end up having some BMW or Aprilia dealership order the pants for me to try on then I'll get them from http://www.dainese.be
Thanks for any help you can give

Try to find the Dainese pants with the kevlar crotch. My pants came with my 2piece suit and are full leather and have a leather crotch. Took me a while to stretch out the leather on the crotch. When I first started to ride with them and hung off the bike I could not get my knee away from the bike.

They don't currently make a pant with a textile crotch that also incorporates a knee slider.

Out of curiosity, what make the Dainese line-up the most expensive gear out there?
Everyone keeps saying you get what you pay for. Well someone break it down to me.
I'll be getting a one piece soon and would like to know if it's justifiable to DOUBLE (for the Bora stuff) the price I had planned on spending.
It's just hard to decipher what's marketing hype, who pays who to use what and how close are race suits are to what the consumer has access too.
I've been happy with my JR stuff and have went down once on the street and once at the track with no problems at all. I was looking at the Speedmaster suit. It's reasonably priced and has the thickest leather out of any other suit that listed their thickness. Maybe the quality of leather differs or kind of leather differs amount brands?
What made you decide on what brands you own?
Sorry to jack, just curious.

I love the Dainese Jackets and armor, but the pants leave a LOT to be desired.
MY P103 pants did not have the stretch panels in the crotch or behind the knees... the crotch part was not a big deal, but the leather bunching behind the knee gets old fast.
My next pants will probably be from A* or Spidi

I've noticed the same Ag, my last pair of Dainese pants just didn't feel right. I'd probably lean towards spidi but I haven't gotten a chance to try out some A* pants. I don't really see how they can command the price they do other than w/ the advertisements. Don't get me wrong, the jackets are nice but not $400 nice. They don't crash much better than JR speedmasters either

Have you tried on the Bora suit? The zippers that zip up along from the hips to the collar bone sucks *** to put on. I think that's why Rossi's suit zips up conventionally. I love the fit and comfort of the Rossi rep suit but its a little too flashy in blue and yellow.

Nope not at all. Hell I've never had a local dealer carry the stuff. Not even one to try on. Special order only.
Now you are giving me more reason to stick with the JR Speedmaster. Some of the Dainese stuff is only a couple hundred more, but the Bora stuff is two and three times that of most suits. I just wander why. Why are there jackets twice as much also?
That's why I asked the question, what made people buy what they buy? Is it true you get what you pay for? Do people really think the most expensive is always best? I'm not doubting Dainese quality because I don't know. That's the problem. I don't know.

I've looked into them. The price shys me away a little though. Right now I ride to work and my work clothes are kept in my locker so I change when I get there and of course when I go on leisure rides I'm in the same full gear anyways and usually only stop for fuel or food and don't really care that I'm in full gear. If I have things to do, or errands to run I generally don't ride. I like commuting to work on a bike as much as possible because it's only about 5 miles from my house and it's no highway riding at all. All in town commute. Much easier to navigate then a diesel truck.
